YES, YES, I GAUGE COMIC-CON BY HOW MANY PEOPLE ASK ME FOR PICTURES. SUCK IT. I can be petty if I wanna. I put some time into my costume but because it wasn't actually *from* anything I wasn't asked. SoooOOOooo next comic-con I'm going as the Boss from MGS 3, with me bro going as Ocelot.
I did get a bitchtit Gordon Freeman action figure, two sweet artists' prints (one of Han Solo and another of Ash Williams from Evil Dead) aaaaand some D 'n D dice. That was pretty awesome. Didn't get to kidnap Nathan Fillion-- the crowd was so thick around him I couldn't even get a glimpse-- but I did see Jewel Staite from a distance and can now say that her smile alone makes me wanna marry her.

Hey guys!
I've been piddling around in flash for a few months and am getting confident with the use of the basic tools. There's still a lot I have to learn, but in the meantime I've written and storyboarded a short two-minute flash movie. Okay, that's a lie, it's being done more in the style of a motion comic (think Metal Gear Peacewalker) because I'm still trying to iron out a functional style that I can fully animate.
I'll be trying to do my own sound effects with free resources, but I'll be making a call for music and a female voice actor later on. I'll keep you posted :D
Meanwhile, the most radical voice actor I'm working with at the moment is super badass and coo'. To be honest, if I knew we could get away with it I would have him re-dub all characters in everything. Ever. King Lear? Yep. Blue Crush? Hell yeah. My Little Pony?

So I filched a few sound clips from some buddies and I've already started into a two minute motion comic type thing just to get all the bare bones of the tools down pat-- I may not publish it because it'll be freaking shoddy as hell. And it doesn't look like I'll be doing any *actual* frame-by-frame animation for a while, partially because I set my personal standards impossibly high so nothing short of absolute realism will satisfy me. Gonna work on that.

Ashfall: Tapestry is a fantasy adventure webcomic being developed by myself and Panda--at the moment it's Deviantart exclusive but I will still be posting updates and juicy samples here. We still have to iron it out but we may release it here, too, if there's demand for it (I have a love-hate relationship with Newground's feedback and art viewing system). Meanwhile, drop by our joint DA account Covenantry and check out what we have up so far. Most of it's concept art and some writing, but right now I'm sitting on a few juicy pages that will be up in the next few days.
