So Kansas is coming-- I've said it too many times, but my, uh, "real job" has really been biting deep. When I'm not working I spend my free time in my ten-billion degree room staring at my monitor doing nothing but wishing for a quick death. Lately I feel like I've been coming home from ten or eleven-hour work days, five days a week, to an unkempt home just to work another six or so. No desire to go out, no motivation to excersize, and I dont even have the very strong female instinct to cook anymore. I still love my day job but it's frustrating to be one of the two people keeping the department up to standard while ducking around the new or otherwise shitty workers. Beh. Tomorrow I'll threaten my boss with dismemberment if he doesnt cut my hours. Again.

SO HERE'S SOME COOL STUFF. I've heard rumors that Storyshift (and by extension, Kansas) is getting a comments section, which will be excellent for my inflated but still fragile ego. I hate to admit it but without the option for fan feedback I feel like I'm reading a shitty kids book into a black hole. Kind of like what I'm doing now. Sssshhh. Let me finish the story.

I`m doing some quick portraits here for five dollars canadian (or american..whatever. Just dont send me five pesos). They're digital, take me anywhere from fifteen minutes to forty minutes, and will be shaded OR given flat colours, or both, whatever, just tell me what you want because I'm a tool who's desperate for cash. 

To be clear, portraits are pretty little pictures of a characters head and shoulders. These are not full body pictures. Motoko here will pose for me:

So I`m taking a small oil and acrylic painting class at the local college. Its turning out alright, but I bought about two-hundred dollars of oil paints that I can`t use in-class because of their STUIPD long drying times. I ride a bike to and from the class and balancing a fully-dried painting is hard enough without smearing heavy metal-based paints everywhere. So I`ve decided to make good of my moronic investment by doing a series of portraits of my favorite seventies, eighties, and nineties action heroes! And selling them to nerds at the next Ottawa comiccon! Yay, nerds! And their disposable incomes!

These are gonna be colour-based portraits. That is, each hero will get their own colour (either primary or secondary, I`ll be going through them). I`ve already thought of a few but I`m open to suggestions.

These paintings will have to sell, so while you`re welcome to name lesser-known heroes, I`ll probably end up going with the ones that I think will make me more dosh. I know, I know, I`m a shameless capitalist. Behold the list I have so far:
