Really rad work. Your art style perfectly serves the animation, and vice versa-- for me, trying to find that balance is difficult. I'll draw something that I think looks good and serves the story, but uh oh, turns out its impossible to animate. I'm hoping time and practice will change that. Or maybe drugs.
...Lots of drugs.
Also incredibly jelly of them backgrounds. I'm a lazy little turd who thinks that a few lines and colours will be fine, but you've shamed me with all those fantastic colours and compositions. God damn it. You cant just-- set the bar so high and-- ngrhgh--
Seems to be a fair number of people subtracting stars because of the story. I like to think I'm jaded and above such mortal emotions, but the story is short and cute and is a leadup to a long and successful series WHICH I'M SURE IT WILL BE, ISN'T THAT RIGHT.

I really admire your illustration work. It's awesome to hear you're trying your hand at animation as well. I think once you find out how to simplify your designs a bit more for animation, you'd be much more pleased with the process. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to what you got! And I fell like I should probably say something like ' winners don't do drugs' or something like that.

Hahahaha well you might have to alter your definition of 'long' and 'successful' but a series it will be. I'll keep it going as long as I can!

For what it is, I think it`s excellent. You captured movement really well in this style, though it did slow down a bit in the middle. I don`t mind lengthy dialogue, but I like an interesting backdrop while reading--I found myself wanting to see some of the immediate environment during this. Nearby chemical pools bubbling, smoke emerging from sink-holes, lopsided birds flying in the sky, I dunno, whatever little details you think will make the location seem more real.
I like your choice to go all text. Some of these motion-comics benefit from voice actors, and some flourish without as yours obviously does. I guess the only thing I could recommend is messing around with sound effects and seeing if you like 'em or not. The ambient music is great but some sounds could give it more depth.
Give me mooooooooore, please :D

Great review, thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed watching it and on the subject of mooooooore, I'm putting the next episode up on Saturday ;) Good suggestions about the scenery, I think when this series of episodes is finished I'll go back through at some point and make a few improvements.

Seems like you're doing a damn good job with them there improv recordings--great animation, it worked really well with the kinda monotone voice acting (I'll point out that that isn't sarcasm, too many movies rely on over-the-top voices to carry them into Frontpage Valhalla). It was genuinely funny but I guess it wasnt slapstick, outrageous, or homophobic enough to get me laughing my goddamn head off. Still, its great, its very rewatchable, and I want more so gimmie :U
